The East Coast Taiko Conference (ECTC) is an annual event which is open to all and is hosted by collegiate taiko groups in the Northeast United States. People from varying backgrounds gather to learn and share their knowledge and experiences about wadaiko, Japanese style percussion, and kumi-daiko, Japanese ensemble drumming. With this year’s theme being “Growing Stronger”, we hope to enrich participants’ knowledge of taiko and its community through the opportunity to learn the roots that lead to various taiko styles, how to improve group performances, and community building opportunities.
Thanks to Kaze, Gendo Taiko, Skidaiko, and Taiko Tides for hosting ECTC for the past few years, this year’s ECTC will be hosted by Yamatai from February 22nd to 24th back at Cornell University. We hope to see you all there!
ECTC 2019 is made possible with our amazing sponsors!
